The new release of the astrometry software in Astro-WISE is available in the
AWBASE version! This means that both the test and base versions of the
Astro-WISE code now contain this new release, and any astrometry processed
will be done so with the new software to the new standards. Users and
system administrators are urged to update their software (including
binaries) where applicable to make use of this new release.

It is recommended to reprocess any results which rely on astrometry,
especially on global astrometry: RegriddedFrames, CoaddedRegriddedFrames,
and SourceLists derived from either of them, etc. This processing can be
done manually via the Tasks on the command-line, or more easily with the
TargetProcessor service (process.astro-wise.org) as it is also running this
new release of astrometry.

Please see the astrometry sections of the HOW-TOs on the Astro-WISE portal
(portal.astro-wise.org) for more information on processing astrometry in
Astro-WISE, and the report on astrometry in Astro-WISE:

www.astro-wise.org/Public/Astro-WISEAstrometryReport.pdf

for details of the new features in this release.

Any problems with this release should be sent to the Issues mailing list
(issues at astro-wise.org) so they can be dealt with in a timely fashion.
Thank you.
