[News] IAP on-going activities

1. Image ingestion/Quality control (refered internally as the "DerFotron"):
Frederic has already a version running that takes a list of MEF files, builds
weight and flag-maps, models of the background and the PSF, makes statistics
about image quality and generates a summary web-page with clickable thumbnails
and plots, together with a FITS table. The part concerning image output
(co-added data) is in the works. "Official" delivery is expected for the end of
February.
2. Tuning of the PC-cluster for max performance. New updated info is available
at http://terapix.iap.fr/hard/cluster/index.html , and more specifically
concerning the RAIDs at
http://terapix.iap.fr/hard/cluster/raid_config.html
More to come on our website (optimizing Gigabit performance, cluster system
management, load-balancing)...

Not related to "the AI's of the QC meeting":
- A prototype of the TERAPIX pipeline database (SQL requests) is now
operational.
- The data selection cart has been implemented in the pipeline interface. HTM
selection tool on the way.
- New SExtractor for MEFs now available on request.
- New Astrometry software being completed.
- 9 nodes (10 soon), and a total of 19TB of securized disk space now online in
the TERAPIX cluster.
