THE WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

The workshop will provide participants with the skills needed to
understand the outputs of current and next-generation surveys,
and to be in a position to contribute to the algorithm development
needed to make new data-intensive projects, such as LSST and
Pan-STARRS, a reality. The workshop will include lectures by
leaders in the field and presentations by participants, if
requested.

Detector Physics, and its Impact on Data
Instrumental and Atmospheric Signature Removal
Point Spread Function Estimation and Difference Imaging
Object Detection as a Statistical Science
Photometry of Isolated Stars and Galaxies
Deblending/Crowded Field Photometry
Photometric and Astrometric Calibration
Analysis of Repeated Observations and Mosaicing
